Community Drop-In Session at The Alternate Root

August 15 2018

Thank you again to all who attended the third community drop-in session at The Alternate Root. It was the largest attendance we have had and there was a fascinating discussion with some great questions about the project.

We made some important and exciting announcements about the Community Benefit Sharing Initiative and the ways the community can participate in this process – more information about this can be found here and here.

We were also proud to announce that UPC Renewables Australia has made a $10,000 donation to the Need for Feed Disaster Relief program being run by the Lions for drought affected farmers. You can find out more about this very worthy cause here.

Finally, a big thank you to Rachel and the team at The Alternate Root for hosting us at their beautiful café.

The next community drop in session is being planned now and will be held in the second half of October. We will provide an update and advertise around town when the details are confirmed. Hope to see you all there.

You can find more about the project on the latest New England Solar Farm Community Factsheet
