Reduced footprint for New England Solar Farm following community feedback
Thank you to our neighbours, land owners and members of the local community who have provided valuable feedback during consultation over the past nine months on our proposal for the New England Solar Farm.
Following feedback we have been able to make a number of improvements and changes to our proposal so that we can make the solar farm the best it can be for the State and the local Uralla community.
In particular, we have reduced the footprint of the solar farm’s southern array by about 50 percent and the central and northern arrays by 20 to 30 percent.
Our investigations into potential flooding, Aboriginal cultural heritage, historic heritage and biodiversity have also helped us modify and improve our proposal.
We will update our website when the proposal has been placed on public exhibition by the Department of Planning and the Environment.
